Opening a New Door for the Fort Meade Community

Fort Meade is more than an installation. It is the center of a community of nearly 200,000 service members, military families, civilian and contract workers, businesses and neighbors connected to its missions.
Now, the Fort Meade Alliance is creating a welcoming place where this broader community can connect and collaborate — just outside the installation.
FMA is transforming an existing building into a community center where members, military and community partners, business leaders and supporters can meet, build relationships and advance initiatives that strengthen the region.

Its location outside the gates is an important part of that vision, providing a convenient place to bring people and ideas together.
FMA is gathering stakeholder input to shape how the facility can best serve the community.
More than a home for FMA, this center will open a new door for the Fort Meade community — building stronger connections, partnerships and opportunities.
