Who We Are

Our Vision: The Fort Meade Alliance (FMA) Foundation’s vision is to make Fort Meade the most vibrant community of military, civilian personnel, veterans and families in the region.

Our Mission: The mission of the FMA Foundation as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is to catalyze philanthropy in support of the Fort Meade installation, military personnel and their families, and the broader Fort Meade community.

The FMA Foundation was founded by the Fort Meade Alliance several years ago and officially incorporated in 2011. The Foundation’s mission is to promote, encourage, and meet the charitable giving needs in the region.

A key priority of the Foundation’s efforts is targeted at the advancement of science, technology, engineering, math, language and information technology through education-oriented programs, initiatives and scholarships for deserving high school and college students planning to pursue related studies and careers.

The FMA Foundation has also embarked on a significant effort to raise funds to support education and resiliency programs at Fort George G. Meade. We have created an Education and Resiliency Center on post. This center serves as a place to come together to find resources, services and programs to strengthen the Fort Meade community.

Additionally, the FMA Foundation also accepts corporate and personal gifts and conducts fundraising efforts to support other charitable initiatives. Prior Foundation efforts include outfitting the FGGM Soldier and Family Assistance Center, building playgrounds on Fort Meade, building batting cages at the installation’s Youth Sports Complex, providing monthly snacks to the Wounded Warriors Transition Unit and offering grants to teachers to obtain updated technology training.

The FMA Foundation advances its mission thanks to the generous support of FMA member organizations and the region’s business community. Support our efforts by clicking here to make a donation today.
