The November 17, 2022 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Fort George G. Meade’s newly renovated Education and Resiliency Center at Kuhn Hall ended an 11-year journey of perseverance and earmarked a new season of help and healing.
As a hub intended to deliver the five pillars of resiliency – family, emotional, physical, spiritual and social – individuals and their families will be able to take advantage of essential programs that will help them with issues or concerns and manage the challenges they face. Services will range from guidance counseling and transition efforts to mental health counseling, wellness programs and financial planning. A premier benefit of this space will be new programming for educational programs needed for successful career placement and continuing education, as well as the expansion of existing programs to broader audiences, including spouses.
The Fort Meade Alliance and the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation extend our sincere appreciation to the State of Maryland, Anne Arundel County and the Fort George G. Meade Garrison for their commitment to this vital community need. Special thanks to Maryland State Senators Pamela Beidle and James E. (Ed) DeGrange, Sr. for their critical support of this project.
