FMA Foundation appoints new Board Member

September 18, 2018 – The Fort Meade Alliance (FMA) Foundation has appointed Allyson Lestner of The Legacy Group, Inc. as its newest Board Member, effective September 1, 2018.

Allyson brings years of experience in development along with a passion for philanthropy to the FMA Foundation Board. She is currently an Associate at The Legacy Group, a financial advisory firm dedicated to investment management and strategic wealth planning.

Before beginning her work at The Legacy Group, Allyson was a development professional with over 12 years of experience and a proven record in relationship building, fundraising, stewardship, networking and negotiating.

Allyson began her development career at The Associated: The Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore as the Assistant Vice President of the Leadership Giving Campaign, where she worked on a talented team raising over $30 million for their Annual Campaign. In 2014, she joined her alma mater, Towson University, as the Director of Major Gifts for the College of Health Professions.

Allyson most recently was the Vice President and Director of Development for the Community Foundation of Howard County, where she built meaningful relationships with donors and community members.
